As of July 2006, HoustonRealNews is owned an operated by BlockShopper, a Chicago-based Real Estate Information Services company. HoustonRealNews was founded by Houston Buyers LP [Editor's Note: Any references to "Parent," or Owners of this newspaper will be left in the story for Posterity]. Houston Real News' mission is to report local real estate investing news from the standpoint of real estate investors. As noted in our introduction, we aim to show both the good and the bad. The new ownership of the company has not altered the editorial focus of the company. We stand by our mission. HoustonRealNews licenses its content for use to other media providers and real estate entities, such as mortgage companies, community development organizations, real estate agents, loan officers, investment associations and related service providers.
